At Fusting Electric, we believe in complete transparency & encourage everyone to do their due diligence when hiring any contractor. If a contractor states they are “fully licensed and insured,” we highly encourage you to verify this information & to ensure that their license & insurance actually covers the work they will be performing. For more information about who is licensed to perform electrical work & how to verify their license, you can visit this blog post – How To Look Up Electrical License In Maryland.
Certificate of Insurance
The Maryland State Board of Electricians has specific requirements put in place for Master Electricians for general liability insurance and property damage insurance. Our insurance meets (and exceeds) all of these requirements.
Note: If you require a COI with your company listed as a certificate holder, please reach out to us via email.
Maryland Master Electrician License
You can verify our license (and any other Maryland electrical license) by visiting the Maryland Electrician Public Query & entering in our license registration number – #15121.
Our license indicates Stephen is a “qualified agent” which means he has assigned his Master Electrician license to Fusting Electric LLC & Fusting Electric LLC holds our insurance (rather than Stephen Fusting holding our insurance as an individual).
Master Electrician, Stephen Fusting performs all of our electric work.
Per Maryland Code Business Regulation §8–301(c)(4), licensed electricians are exempt from requiring MHIC (Maryland Home Improvement Contractor) licenses.
